Instructions: Install only on a concrete ceiling or directly under a ceiling joist.

Step 1: Using screws provided, attach bottom plate to threaded rod.

Step 2: Screw two longest metal tubes together; make sure tube with label is at bottom.

Step 3: With the U-pin inserted into the base at the stop position, screw pole assembly into bottom assembly. Measure ceiling height to see which extensions, if any, you'll need.

Step 4: Using the plastic connectors, connect extensions as needed. Attach top plate by firmly pushing it into end of the pole assembly.

Step 5: Extend the pole by turning it counter clockwise until it's hand tight against the ceiling. Make sure pole is straight and perpendicular to floor; must be at 90 degree angle to floor and ceiling.

Step 6: Tighten pole using the tool provided. Hold pole and make sure it's steady and doesn't move when firm pressure is applied sideways. Screw lock nut all the way up; tighten with tool until snug. Do not over tighten. Once nut is tightened, remove U-pin to allow pole to spin. Store U-pin by placing in holes marked "Spin."
