Scare them psychopath-style in this freaky Freddy Krueger overhead mask! This classic character mask is a highly-detailed latex replica of the frightening face of the Nightmare on Elm Street horror film villain. To get the total terrifying look, add Freddy's brown hat and sweater.

For the price, it makes a great project mask. If you're ok with how it looks stock, then yes its perfect. I felt it could use some improvements so I modified it a bit. First, the mouth makes the mask look silly, and it makes it hard to breath and talk. I cut the mouth out and it fit perfectly around my lips. The eye holes also needed to be trimmed a little. To get a better fit and look, I used industrial strength velcro to make the flaps close on the back. If you put a little extra time to paint the mask, it looks great. All in all, its a great budget mask to complete the Freddy look, or a great project mask to help you really achieve that perfect look.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Not bad for the price

About Me Classic
I got the idea of being Freddy for the simple reason l was worn out on being Jason... Being into the horror genre I was always into the silent killer but as I grew into it more I found Freddy to be more of the scary yet comical guy. Well I spent a lot less money on this costume and I have to say it is by far the best costume I have yet put together! Spirit Halloween had most of everything I needed at a decent price. To that thank you! Hopefully this year people will have a real nightmare to talk about!

This is a great mask! Made of thin latex that stretches for a perfect fit! I recommend cutting out the mouth for a more realistic look.
A great pull over the head mask with nice details. The eyeholes were a bit small but you once you wear it for a bit, you adjust to that.

This is a GREAT mask for a Freddy costume. The only problem I have with it is that it is made of really thin latex, so you need to be careful when putting it on. Other than that, this mask is awesome!

This mask is great. Rubs on eye a little but you can easily fix it with a pair of scissors. I am going to get the sweater and glove to complete my 2011 costume

Not too shabby

For the price, this is a must. I have a 23" head size and it fits almost perfect. Like a second skin which almost makes it look as if its not a mask at all. There is a slit in the back for easy on/off access. I would suggest adding velcro to close it up tighter for a much better fit and look.

Awesome Mask! Makes the costume!

This mask is a must if you want to be Freddy! It is good material and could be used for multiple years. However, I would not suggest wearing if you're hard of breathing because it does get pretty hot under there. And you will probably need to put shoelaces through the back or maybe tape it to your shirt or skin to make it lay right around the neck. But other than that, I would def recommend it over the other one!

good replacement for high-end masks

I am a Spirit employee and have been eyeing this mask at my store for a while, debating on whether or not an idea I had would work.... after finally deciding to pick it up and testing my concept, I am proud to say that by removing the teeth area of the mask (sharp scissors and a steady hand are a must) and some careful manipulation of the now-open mouth, this mask can work very much like a prosthetic appliance at 1/4 the cost.I also glued the cut up the back closed, as it's a perfect (yet slightly snug) fit to go over my head and stay put while I'm playing the character.I will be picking up the deluxe glove and the deluxe hat to finish off my '09 costume soon.
