Ward off strangers or welcome the foolish with this fearsome Animated life-size Grave Digger Prop. He stands a full five and a half feet tall, dressed in tattered black garb with long scraggly gray hair, a battered black hat and a toothless yaw - one can only imagine where he's come from or going to. His lantern lights the way - dare you follow? He makes scary noises and moves, so beware!

About Me Midrange Shopper
We used this as a greeter outside the front door pointing to our outdoor cemetary. We were a hit with kids and adults alike on Beggars Night. It was really fun to see the little one's faces light up when he came to life. We even had people stop to take pictures.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Budget Shopper
This prop has one spooky and realistic phrase. I got this november 1stt last year, on the 1/2 off sale. I run my haunt starting on October 29th. It worked perfectly as I pointed twoards the entrance! I think this is a Must-have prop! One note for assembly, attach the weight box to pole C and D befor securing to the base. So what are you waiting for? Buy it now!

Fantastic graveyard addition!
from Senoia, GA
This guy is an amazing greeter for our haunted cemetery! Like the vid and pics show, you ought to keep him behind a tombstone. Essentially, it is a heavy base with a single sturdy pole up to the animatronics and head. The pole goes through a loop of material in the "pants" and connects to the upper portion. This makes it a little top heavy and since my yard has a slight slight grade to it, the grave keeper tends to tip but this was an easy fix using a tent stake. Other than these VERY minor inconveniences he is awesome and great quality for the price point. I've bought many products from Spirit and never before felt that the quality matched the price I paid but I can't say that about this. I imagine this product will last quite some time as long as its stored well. Happy Halloween!

I use this guy indoors for a graveyard scene. The voice is great and you can hear the crows in the background. His face is detailed and the eyes light up. I thought the light up eyes would make it tacky, but it really enhanced the creepyness! (the shoes are made of cheap, paper thin plastic, but you can improvise)I used it for one Halloween season and it seemed fine, until the arm started to malfunction. it either pointed straight up or when I adjusted it, the arm would rest way too far across the body. Hopefully, I can come up with an easy fix this year.Overall, it was worth every penny.

Delighted, Great Sound
This is a fabulous old grave digger, a thoughtful fellow who warns people of corpses and to watch their step. His voice innunciates well; it is easy to understand him. He worked perfectly, and the description of him is accurate. I am very happy with him and he startled people during our Halloween party.

About Me High-end Shopper
We used this animatronic in our outdoor yard display with a step pad since it will run off batteries. It worked great, dazzled trick or treaters, people even took photos of their kids next to "The Gravedigger". Loved the arm coming up and pointing, we staged it to point to our cemetery. We were very impressed and so were our Halloween guests.

This thing rocks...
from Palm Bay, Florida
This guy was the perfect top off to the graveyard scene. Got lots of compliments on our yard this year... with a little ingenuity and effort, this is a definite need for the enthusiast.

from Keokuk, Ia
I have it in my yard and he is pointing toward the graveyard display. He is awesome. the only thing bad I can say about it is, being animated you have to take it in during rain.
So creepy but awesome!

I love it.

A great addition for our graveyard scene. A lot of pieces say sound or motion activated, but they take a lot to actually set them off. Not with the grave digger which makes him one of my favorite pieces because I don't have to worry about whether or not he is actually going to work.

Great Halloween Prop
from Philadelphia ,Pa
I pre ordered the Grave Digger about a month and a half ago and recieved it today and I absolutely love him!! He looks exactly like he did in the video. He really looks like an old man, it's so creepy! The sound on him is great too. He will be the perfect addition to my graveyard. I buy almost all of my decorations from Spirit and I'm never disappointed. This prop was worth every penny!

great voice. cracks me up every time! finally...a decent voice track! the clothes could use a little stuffing. Doesn't come with the tombstone but is a good idea as the fake shiny shoes are lame. Like all of them, it is delicate so don't try and put clothes or gloves on it - don't need it. Great prop! can't wait till Halloween! please - don't break
Diggin the Grave Digger
I used this as one of the many highlights to my graveyard scene, on my front lawn in 2011 and 2012. Gravedigger was the highlight of all the animatronics. It did require some staking of the base, as the unit is a little top heavy, which takes only a small breeze to upset, and I would like to see some upgrades in the gears. One good fall and I was spending hours trying to repair the broken plastic pieces in his neck. But once operational, there were no problems and with the right props, fog and background sounds... this guy can strut...
Great Prop, But Built Backwards
from Coventry, RI
We had a large & very creepy graveyard scene this year & wanted a "lead" character. This guy for sure did the trick! His mouth & hands move, the volume was loud, his eyes blink, & he was creepy. The only negative is that he was built backwards, so his feet point the wrong direction as to the "motion sensor" I'd hope that Spirit would address this with their buyer or somehow offer us sometype of discount next year, it was a little disappointing but too late to ship back & get another. Overall, the prop itself was a good one & a great addition to any graveyard!
Not really scarey, but...
A lot of motion. Good start to a haunted yard. He is a little creepy looking. He does have some cool motion. I like him.
Perfect Animatronic For Any Yard Haunt
By Mr. 31st
from New Jersey
This prop really scared alot of people that came to my haunt this past year. It pointed the way into our maze and everyone thought he was just the creepiest thing they've seen. The first time he turns on the mouth will not move right away, he actually takes a few times to warm up. The feet are cheap plastic that velcro on to the base. With those two things in mind is the only reason it isnt 5 star worthy. But its truly a great prop for anyone wanting to bring their haunt to the next level.
Real creepy prop
from Holbrook, NY
I used this guy in my living room/ cemetery. Looks great. The sound effects are loud enough and the head and face movements are realistic. This prop work just like the video, except I had a problem with his arm. It stopped going back down after a cycle.
from Venango, PA
Great prop. Good size. Works great.
Nice Prop With Great Voiceover
from Carlsbad, CA
Grave Digger has some valuable strengths. The 5' product appears better built than most props in this price range - strong base, strong supports, good wiring job. One of the best voiceovers on the market makes him an attention grabber, as does the animation which appears to wake a safe inanimate prop to life as he raises his head and arm. Eyes flash, mouth moves, arm raises and points.Important point, comes with an adapter but the only full size prop I've seen that also runs on batteries alone, meaning more freedom in where you put him.A bit skinny but you can stuff him to plump him up a bit. He runs on a combo sound activator/timer. Loud sounds trigger him, otherwise he goes off every 90 seconds, getting annoying pretty quickly to those within constant earshot. I have to place him a distance from my other talking props so he doesn't speak over them.
Product good. Store - not so much

Spirit store in salem nh was only open a couple days and they did not have this product in stock despite having it on display. They offered to sell me the floor model but at full price. I ended up buying it online and having to pay shipping and taxes. Product a good bang for the buck though overall.
