Comments about Spencer's White Fire and Ice LED Spot Light:
The white fire and ice spot is absolute magic used in combination with a black light to illuminate a white ghost or spectre. Its rotating light pattern creates a subtle, ethereal effect of motion, as if the ghost were materializing. Black light by itself is too purple and too static. We used this and a 24" black light fluorescent tube on Grandin Road's "Venetian Victoria," placed in a large picture window highly visible from the street. She created a sensation not only on Halloween night but in the days leading up to it. Cars would stop to admire her. There is something about the effect of the white spot that makes it special. We tried other colors, but the pattern was like a disco ballroom or an undersea grotto with light bouncing around every which way. The effect of the white spot is more quietly radiating than bouncing. As wonderful as the effect that it produces is, there may be a problem with the light itself. I bought one two years ago. It performed well throughout the season the first year, but as I was setting it up for use the second year it failed after one night. I had to scramble to come up with another in time. My local Halloween Spirit Stores were useless. (They only get a handful of the white lights, and they are quickly sold out.) Fortunately, the online store still had some. I had to pay a high S&H charge, but I had it in two business days. To summarize: this is a great product IF it lasts and IF you can find it. Note to Company: BUY MORE OF THESE AND MAKE THEM MORE AVAILABLE AT THE RETAIL LOCATIONS! And here's another idea: Try adjusting the light pattern of the other colors to make them more subtle and undulating, like the white.
