Set the extraordinary Star Laser anywhere and watch it create a hypnotic light show projected over any surface. Whether for your private pleasure or mad party, this little guy takes you to other worlds and galaxies beyond the imagination.
It's a unit about 10inches tall that projects a combination of green laser stars and blue (slightly ultraviolet-ish blue) clouds onto your ceiling, walls, pets, etc. Both the clouds and the stars are constantly moving and morphing, just like a proper Universe should. And there are literally thousands of green laser stars to look at. There are two ways you can adjust your Laser Stars Projector, first you can pivot the projector itself 180 degrees horizontally around the base so that you can control *where* it is projecting in your room. It can literally fill up an entire ceiling and portions of several walls at once. And the other thing you can adjust is the intensity of the blue gaseous clouds, from zero to full intensity.

"This is possibly the coolest thing ever. The green lights move around, the blue/purple cloud moves around, both independently. It certainly fills the ceiling of my 12'x12' room and spills over onto the walls, so it's definitely big, and it's almost bright enough at night to read to (though not quite, making it perfect). Stare at the light long enough and you'll see shapes and 3-D effects and you'll be totally amazed. Worth ever penny I paid, I love this light. It has a nice base to set it on a level surface, and has holes in the base to mount it to a wall or ceiling should you desire to, and plugs into a regular wall outlet."

"Kids" of all ages will enjoy. I plan on giving more as gifts, including myself! Was a good way to lay back and relax after a stressful day. "I needed to photograph a sculpture of the Eiffel Tower that is lit with 400 tiny dew drop sized LEDs that stands 4 feet high. I used both a solid white and then a solid black background behind the sculpture for various shots, and projected the star field with cloud onto the backgrounds. The resulting photos were spectacular, looking more like twilight caused by the blue cloud effect of the Star Laser when projected onto the white background, and like night in the sky on the black background. With the lighted Eiffel Tower in front, it created visually stunning photos that would have been impossible to create without tons of time and professional expertise in Photoshop to create a false background. The Star Laser was perfect for this job. It's also pretty d### cool just to shoot on your ceiling. My wheelchair bound father, who rarely gets out, enjoys reclining in his favorite living room chair and just enjoying the ceiling now. Highly recommended, just like everyone else states."

"This thing is great for simply enjoying a quiet evening watching some SciFi or when gaming but if you turn it on in a party environment all other conversations stop and people start ohhh'ing and ahhh'ing instantly. Being a light show, it obviously works better the darker the room is but even shows up fairly well in an average lit room. Set up is just a matter of unpacking and plugging in. One thing I might change if I were the creator is I'd add the ability to change where the blue nebula could be placed within the starfield. As it is, it shows up in the center of the starfield. Because to get the most even distribution of stars on a ceiling you will typically aim the center of the starfield at the center of the ceiling, the nebula is often shining on a ceiling fan which sort of ruins the effect because you have now a ceiling fan shadow in amongst the nebula and stars. It would be like looking up at the milky way on a beautiful starry night and seeing a ceiling fan pattern. But overall, a very, very, cool lighting effect. Once you see it in person, you'll want one for yourself."

"Overall I like it. I kept the box because there is no lense cover. It would be nice if you could control the speed the stars move. One in the middle never does. Also don't get worried if it starts up slow if it has been very cold. I thought I broke it when I left it in a 30* car all night. Like I said I like it just find constructive criticism more useful. Pretty good if that's all I can complain about."

"I decided to get this as a gift for my preteen girls this year. I set it up to make sure it worked. Setup was easy and within minutes was laying there enjoying the star effect. If they dont like it, no worries, it will still get alot of use.. Cool product."

"Bought this a few months ago and my wife can't sleep without it on the celling. I was hoping for actual stars and real patterns but the moving laser stars are still calming to watch. The blue reforming random dust cloud you can fade in or out is incredible. The lasers are always green so it doesn't look like stars as much as one might hope, but there are hundreds of them moving in all directions and in different sizes that make the color fall to the back of your mind. Only negitive is turning it off .. You pretty much have to get hit in the eyes with the lasers to get to this thing."

"I have been using these Laser Stars for over a year as a working Professional DJ. I use them instead of a mirror ball for slow songs, they also look great with a little fog. One word of caution if you are using them during a dance or party be aware that they green dots will invade photos. I had a wedding couple that loved them and thought that were really cool, but when they showed up in the photos they were not as happy."

"I throw HUGE parties from time to time. I own 2 of the star lasers. They are both set up in my very large family (party) room. They are at opposite ends of the room pointed at each other. They are hanging from the wall and are about 8 feet from the floor. The stars cover every wall, ceiling and floor. Throw a fog machine in the mix, turn off the lights and jam some pounding dance music and your party may very well be just as good as mine are. I can't stress enough how awesome a fog machine enhances the star laser's effects in the room."

"Have always wanted something like this. I have always found planetariums very relaxing and this brings one right into my home!! I was a little skeptical after reading some of these reviews, but they were right on the money!! Stars fill my entire bedroom with a warm relaxing glow!! Can watch it for hours!!! Would be a 5 star rating if it wasn't so expensive."

"THis thing is CRAZY....my entire basement becomes engulfed in chaotic moving green stars. The blue universe at the center is just awesome to look at. The pictures they put up in NO WAY do it justice. There are literally thousands of firefly sized green dots all over the place. Even if your not trippin, it makes you feel like you are."

"i origionally bought this unit for projecting on the ceiling in my home movie theather in my basement, but i also use it with a mobile d.j. while doing college dances & in nightclubs. it covers a large area with randomly moving stars & also shooting stars every once in a while! the ability to add blue moving clouds is a nice feature."

"My son bought this item to enhance his room during movie nights. He has a 42" HD TV and this light was fantastic. I have bought a second machine to place in my activity room at the resort I work. The mood is calmed and everyone now enjoys our "Movie & popcorn". My kids are mimerized by the continues movement of stars and nebula."
