I have two of these units - one for the bedroom, and one for the livingroom. They are awesome! I use the one in the livingroom to relax and listen to music. I have the one in the bedroom set to a timer (can be purchased at your local [@] or [@]) which will turn the unit off after one hour, and will help extend the life of the unit.

My son loved this laser at my parent's house. My brother has one so I ordered one, too. It was great for when my kids were dancing around in the dark and also when turned on before bed as a night light. Unfortunately my kids would turn it back on in the night and it would stay on until morning. It lasted us a few years with this harsh treatment of being left on for several hours almost every single night! The green lasers no longer work, the blus is now very, very dim, and it is loud, still fighting to work! :) We are going to be buying another one to replace it- actually two- one for each room.

I sleep with the star laser light on every night.. I cannot sleep with out i t~! the only thing that sucked was after about a year or so the colors started to fade so i had to buy a new one!!!!

I received this as a gift for Christmas 2009. To this day this is my most prized lazer light show. I use it whenever I need to relax and wind down at night. The dancing, twinkling shooting stars are beautiful.

I use this for my own entertainment in my room. It lights up most of the walls and is in constant motion. The one thing I don't like is the fact that it doesn't react to sound. It also can't be run for a long time so try to stick to the 4 hour limit. It can go for more but don't push it to much.

Easy to use.Very cool, laser stars work as a nice night light and also romantic mood setter.I have 2 of these.Each light is a little different in that the stars can look more random or patterned.I preffer the more random.Had to exchange one of them for that reason.Interior fan on one of them rattled a little, disturbing sleep when left on at night.Otherwise the fan sound is nice to induce sleep.

This star Laser rocks!! I am 47 years old, bought it for my kids but I confiscated it and it's in my room now!!! LOVE LOVE this product. I have purchased them for my friends too and it's the best gift to give someone that has it all or nothing.

I was touring a pediatric therapy place, and they use one of these for different therapeutic usages. I was so impressed by how it turned the room into this gorgeous display of stars. I love the blue cloud the best. The greenish stars slowing float about the room while the blue cloud kind of stirs within itself. If you watch, rarely, but ever so often there is a shooting star. Because my daughter has trouble falling asleep at night, I decided to purchase this. She falls right asleep within 30 minutes or less. It has been the best thing for her. No more waking up in the middle of the night and sneaking to our bed either. I do turn it off after she is asleep because I read about the bulb burning out if runs more than 3 hours.

The only reason I didn't give it full five stars is because of the worry about the bulb burning out and because it does feel rather lightweight and doesn't feel to be of the best quality. However, we absolutely love the machine. I have to warn that no video online gives the Star Laser justice. You have to see it yourself to truly appreciate it.

If you are looking for a realistic sky with the real constellations, than this is not for you. However, if you just want a beautiful, relaxing light show than you can't ask for better for the price.

I had this since December 4, 2009 so it lasted about 9 months until I smelled a horrible burning rubber smell and the stars barely appeared on ceiling and went dim. Light was still shining dim and motor still turning, but something internal must have overheated.

I later found out from a friend it says on the box (which I threw out) you aren't supposed to leave it on for more than 4 hours at a time (fire hazard) & mine was running 8-12 hours daily. I killed the stars. Other than that if used lightly and 4 hours or under it is wonderful.

I am an event planner for a college. We needed to transform a space for a dance so I purchased this item. It is very "user friendly". Plugs in, turn the knob and viola. We had it on for over 6 hours and it ran just fine, not to hot and never went out. The effect is really, really cool and a nice bang for your buck!

Went over to a friends house and walked into his friends room, honestly, I was immediately drawn and captivated to the ceiling. I felt like someone seeing a shooting star for the first time...but everywhere all around you! This projector is absolutely amazing. Worth every dime! I saw it and immediately bought it!!

This is possibly the coolest thing ever. The green lights move around, the blue/purple cloud moves around, both independently. It certainly fills the ceiling of my 12'x12' room and spills over onto the walls, so it's definitely big, and it's almost bright enough at night to read to (though not quite, making it perfect). Stare at the light long enough and you'll see shapes and 3-D effects and you'll be totally amazed. Worth ever penny I paid, I love this light. It has a nice base to set it on a level surface, and has holes in the base to mount it to a wall or ceiling should you desire to, and plugs into a regular wall outlet.

I saw this amazing machine at a friend's house and ordered it immediately! I was not disappointed. It is stunning and I cannot wait to use it in my classroom. I've used other star machines but none can hold a candle to this one. The brightness of the stars and the movement add that special touch of reality. It's just like gazing at a star filled night sky.

It looks like you are outside laying down, staring up at the sky filled with stars. Does have a few shooting stars every so often. Nice star shaped design projector. Loved the "Blue Cloud" which is adjustable. Wished area for cloud was wider. It covers the wall/ceiling. Bought as B-Day gift for Sci-Fi fan. I wanted something different, she loved it. "Kids" of all ages will enjoy. I plan on giving more as gifts, including myself! Was a good way to lay back and relax after a stressful day.

CONS: A bit pricy, but Spceners has best online price I could find. Needs a Sleep timer. Fan was a bit loud. Green Stars, not white. Wish I could buy extra dics star patterns.

I needed to photograph a sculpture of the Eiffel Tower that is lit with 400 tiny dew drop sized LEDs that stands 4 feet high. I used both a solid white and then a solid black background behind the sculpture for various shots, and projected the star field with cloud onto the backgrounds. The resulting photos were spectacular, looking more like twilight caused by the blue cloud effect of the Star Laser when projected onto the white background, and like night in the sky on the black background. With the lighted Eiffel Tower in front, it created visually stunning photos that would have been impossible to create without tons of time and professional expertise in Photoshop to create a false background. The Star Laser was perfect for this job. It's also pretty d### cool just to shoot on your ceiling. My wheelchair bound father, who rarely gets out, enjoys reclining in his favorite living room chair and just enjoying the ceiling now. Highly recommended, just like everyone else states.
