Comments about Spencer's Adult Light Up Eyes Gauze Zombie Costume:

Best use is scaring trick-or-treaters, especially after sunset. I had lots of kids & teens terrified to even come up to the porch to get candy, which was plenty of fun. Sitting still on the porch, they thought I was a dummy, then I would stand up when they approached...I got lots of screams & people running away!

PRO: the look is amazing, particularly in low lighting. It makes you look like a Ring Wraith (LotR) or Dementor (Harry Potter), & it provides full coverage so no part of your regular clothing is visible. The skimpy little gloves could cover a bit more of the wrists, but if you wear a long-sleeved shirt underneath you still should have full coverage.

CON: the hood refuses to stay put & requires constant adjustment after you turn your head a few times. Visibility is basically zero, I had to rip a couple of small eyeholes just to be able to see where I was. Since I was outside after dark with a fogger they weren't noticeable, but indoors this would ruin the look. A thinner fabric over only the eye area (like nylon stocking material) would be much better. The glasses worked great but there's no way to secure the battery pack, so it hangs down & pulls on the right side. I eventually had to tie it to the rope belt just to keep it from constantly yanking the glasses off, it really needs a clip or something to secure it. Also, there should be an option to use either the included frames OR a clip-on for those of us who wear regular glasses, since it's impossible to wear both these & regular prescription lenses.

The gauze overlay needs extra cutting & tattering to pull off the look, but I suppose it's deliberately sold mostly intact so you can adjust to your height & preference. Overall it's an excellent costume effect once you work out all the kinks. It fits well (adult male, 5'10", 190lb.), but it does have several annoying drawbacks. Don't expect to be able to use it right out of the bag, there's definitely some assembly required.
