I bought this for my son for Christmas. He was very excited when he opened it and saw how big it was. We ran the lava lamp as the instructions indicated, but the water continues to be cloudy. My son is very disappointed as it makes it very difficult to see the red affects as it warms up.

spencers needs to unpack each lava lamp and inspect before shipping! ive read many sites. most mention the poor quality of the chinese made lava lamps! mine was supposed to be clear with red lava but it looks like milk was used for the liquid. unfortunately i voided the warranty by removing the top seal. the base also has a big dent in it. im trying to fix it. there are sites describing how to do it. i will give spencers credit for working with me but sending it back would cost even more money. so im going to be creative and attempt to repair it! it would be awesome if spencers reads this and sends me another one and then id recommend spencers!

Arrived in original packaging. Well packed and box in good condition. Noticed 3 small dings on base and had to install my own felt "feet" because the bottom felt pad installed at the factory doesn't cover the metal edges. Extremely cloudy and hard to see lava. I'm very disappointed.

I HAVE A LARGER THEN LIFE LAVA LAMP FOR OVER 6 YRS. THE FAMILY BOUGHT IT FOR ME FOR CHRISTMAS THEY BOUGHT IT AT BROADWAY AT THE BEACH MYRTLE BEACH,S.C.,THIS LAMP IS BETTER THEN ANY NITE LIGHT. MY GRANDSON LOVE TO LOOK AT THE BEAUGHTFUL LITE. I LOVE IT GET IT IF YOU CAN YOU WILL NOT NOT REGRATE IT.

This lavalite was cloudy when received. Attempts to clear it up have not worked. Lavalite was originally helpful and receptive to replacing this product. After our first talk, I've been unable to get resolution from lavalite. I'm on the verge of returning this to spencers. Love the design of this light, hate the hassle of getting a defective product replaced.

As everyone else says, they come quite cloudy. [...] And trust me, it's a lot of work if you decide to change out the liquid yourself, which also voids the warranty.
