"I bought two, one for my daugter(birthday gift) and the other for my nephew they love them. One is yellow and turns pink that's the one i love the most. Its so relaxing that its almost imnotic."

"this is a nice lava lamp even though i bought one a month ago, it was a clear with red lava one and until this day the lava dosnt flow like its suppose to instead its just a big ball. and there are white flakes in it. i resently bought another one with blue water and yellow lava and it is working great :) i am very happy with it. i just would like to know wats wrong with the red one i have. i plan to buy one more maybe the black ..."

"This is an ubiased opinion... After working at spencers for over a year, I finally decided to give in, and buy myself a nice lavalamp. It's almost theraputic to me. It's so nice to lay down and just watch the wax flow as it lulls me to sleep. :) (first few times, the lamps take an EXTENDED period of time heating up, after several uses, however, the wax seems like easily kneadable dough... With every use, it's taking less and less time to start up, the first night, was over 4 hours fyi)."

"Just bought my LAVA lamp the other day and it's great! I had one as a child and saw one at spencers and had to buy it!! And to everyones comments about their lamp taking a long time to warm up, thats how the lamps work! Read the directions!"

"Some of these people obviously do not know how to operate a lava lamp. First, it takes about 35-40min. for it to warm up to get the lava wax flowing. I also don't understand why there would be any negatives about your lamp if you buy a black lava lamp expect it to be somewhat dark that's the color! I love Spencer's lava lamps they are sold at an Excellent price and they are great product.[...] I am an avid lava lamp collecter and I am so happy that Spencer's sell's them [...] Peace )"

"The wattage is fine to do the job. You just can't fire up a lava lamp to full hottness in a few minutes. It could explode or damage it. It does take a bit to get going but that's because you've bought the big verison and it's pretty nice once it does get going. I expected as much."
