Comments about Spencer's 14.5" Lava Lamp w/Yellow Lava/Blue Liquid/Metallic:

I have my lamp in the bedroom. It's one of two lava lamps I have in there. I love the illumination the lamps give. I have more through out the apartment that I bought from Spencer's and I use them for lighting at night. It's really beautiful. Different color fluid, different color lava. It's really relaxing.

Comments about Spencer's 14.5" Lava Lamp w/Yellow Lava/Blue Liquid/Metallic:

It was a gift for my 14 year old grandson. I had one in the 60s in college and another in the 80s. I loved them. But, this Lava Lamp doesn't come anywhere near the quality of the ones made decades ago. The water is too dark. You can barely see the floating wax unless there is some sort of back light in the area. The blub is too small(not enough heat)for the surface area of the wax when it is at the bottom of the glass container. Ergo, the wax blobs don't separate or float up and down as in the video or like the ones I had. It takes 3 to 4 hours for the wax to warm and start motion. The shipping was almost as much as the lamp itself. Not worth the price. It arrived with a long scratch on the base. I am disappointed. I won't be giving it as the gift I had planned.
