I bought the last Electra Pole today, my boyfriend installed it very fast, its so much fun, mine is not even bolted to the ceiling I can still spin, flip up side down, you name it. The only thing I do not like is how quick it gets slippery, have to polish my pole all the time. Even tho, I still love it, doing tricks on it is a lil hard since im not a pro, but im getting there. Im very happy with my Electra-Pole and dont regret buyng it. This one is a looot better than the cheaper one, so if you're planning on flipping on it, sliding, twisting, this one is the right one. Since the pole doesnt come with any pol dancing moves, what I did is go on youtube and watch the videos:)))) Good Luck!

I found when spinning the pole loosens, and can slide right from the ceiling. It happend to me twice already and I have only had it for a day.
It does support me when sliding down or just swinging around...The problem is when you spin so does the top section of the pole and then goes the tension and then you go!!!Not fun...Believe me...So this pole is good for show...but you may want to bolt it to your ceiling before attempting anything...and start slow!

I absolutely LOVE the electra-pole! It took about 5 minutes to set up completely and stays put very well. If it isn't bolted into the cieling, be careful to keep a looser grip on the pole while spinning or it may screw up the spring. I'm a healthy sized girl but even with it not bolted I was able to hang even upside down from the pole without it moving at all. A little more expensive than other poles but by far the best.

The assembly instructions were easy to follow and I had the pole put together in no time. Just remember to check the pole each time before you use it to make sure it is secure. I felt very safe climbing and swinging on the pole even though I did not have it permanently attached to the ceiling.

I have danced pro before, and been on maternity for 2 yrs.I am now going back, but knowing I need practice, decided to buy the Electra Pole.U can't beat the price.I decided to assemble it in my garage, (my ceiling height is 8'5).I screwed it into the ceiling joist for added support.I only weigh 145pds, and it says it can hold up to 100kg.That means i weigh 66kg.While tightening the nuts, I heard a loud pop noise.Thinking I poped the joist, I took down the pole only to find that the balls on the inside of the ceiling plate that u push and slides into the holes on the attaching pole had popped because of too much tenstion....I'm assuming. Now even tho my ceiling is 8'5, there is A LOT of flex.I'm still not sure how sturdy it is, but I'm wiling to try it.

This Electra pole was the best perchase that i have made in a long time. It is the best full body workout ever. And after you learn some moves it is really great for enteraining with friends. The assemly was easy and only took a few minutes to mount the pole to the cieling. The best thing about this pole is you can actually do tricks and climb the pole and swing around. the cheap poles are really just props to dance with. I have tons of girlfriends who are going to go buy a electra pole now.

This is definetly a great pole if you are not willing to spend a fortune. It's a little bit tricky to put up, have a guy help you with it. I ended up screwing it into the ceiling for more support (especially for advanced moves). Overall, it's a great pole!

The pole is great and sturdy (we havent bolted it to the cieling yet), but after a few uses and spins, the pole becomes loose because when you spin, you untwist it. Also, it kind of hurts when your thighs rub against it when you are sliding down doing tricks.

This is a very good dance pole and it is very easy to put up. The instructions are easy to follow and there's a DVD too for if you get stuck.
The joins are very smooth which makes for a good dancing experience. Plus it is very stable which put my mind at rest when i was performing more advanced spins and flips.

some other details about the pole... it looks great when up and is easy to take down too for if you want to take it anywhere. Have a look around and you'll see that it is very good value compared to other professional dance poles.

overal i am extremely happy to have purchased this pole.

I love this pole. It was easy to set-up, the DVD helped alot. Although it sucks because the DVD is just for instructions, they don't show you how to do tricks. So you gotta wing it, but besides that its great. (I recommend watching some pole dancing on [@] first & try 2 copy what they do.) It holds up pretty good w/o screws, I was flipping upside down and it held, although after a week or so it fell off. But ever since I screwed it in, I have no problems, and I'm sure it'll stay that way.

This is great for the price once you figure out the little quirks. It is easy to install but you will need an extra hand to hold the pole still while you tighten it. Not for left handers....If you are not going to fasten it to the ceiling then do not buy it if your "strong" arm is your left as all your "swings" will be counterclockwise, which I have found to be the only reason the pole works itself loose. Of course because of the three pieces there is a small amount of "give" to the pole but it is working well so far. My kids are 4 and 7 and LOVE climbing it and think that my "swings" are "really cool Mom"....Good exercise, you will discover muscles you haven't known you owned for a while.

I'm glad I spent the extra money to buy the dance pole that was sturdy enough for upside down moves. However, there is no dvd that shows you how to use the pole. So now I have a pole set up in my living room, and I have no idea how to use it. My 2 year old thinks it's a fireman pole and likes to climb up it and slide down. Now I have to find a dvd online that can show me how to use this pole. They should tell you this on the box!!

Bottom Line:

Ok, this thing is pretty flimsy. You'll have to break out the power tools for this one. PLEASE FIND THE STUDS IN YOUR CEILING OMG!!! Oh, and its not nearly as easy to put together as they say it is...5 minutes, yeah right! Once its secure though, its pretty decent. I wouldn't advise trying the inverted tricks on this particular pole. Beginner-intermediate spinning tricks are fine though. It makes a lot of noise and has to be adjusted frequently whether its bolted to the ceiling or not. Its a good starter pole...but I'll probably get something of higher quality when I start getting braver with my pole tricks.

[...]Goes up easily and is very sturdy. The only problem I had with it was sometimes when you have to land with your feet all the way down to the ground but still on the pole, it can hurt because you tighten it from the floor up and it's a little rough. Like, there's a black part that kinda looks like a nut but it's bigger and you tighten it with the tool (that's included in the box). But other than that, I love it and recommended it to a friend who bought hers and loves it as well. Well worth the price, and is almost as good as the professional ones. It's a great addition to our bedroom... Definetly "spices things up" for the husband and me....

I have had this pole for a few months now and it was a great buy! The only complaints that i have with it are that its a little short... it won't work on a room that has vaulted cealings (only extends about 8 or 9 feet). also during extended periods of use you have to tighten the pole in order so that it dosen't become loose and fall down. I have had it fall down once and after that i have made sure that it was super tight each time i dance. Overall this pole is great for beginners and experts alike. I have been able to do any move i want on it and for the price you just can't beat it!

I was a little wary purchasing something I could not see in person, but was thrilled when I got it. I had to use a wedge on the ceiling, because i have vaulted ceilings (Which was not recommended), and it worked out great. I found it a little too slippery for my tricks, etc., but I buffed it out with emory cloth, and it came out perfect. All in all, I love this product, and have recommended it to all my friends that are looking to installl their own pole. It does not flex much (Some flexing should be expected, as it is a 3 pc. pole), but I find it very safe, can spin, twirl, and flip without any problems. And it looks great!!!

I was ECSTATIC to find a relatively cheaper pole to work with. I have the original peek-a-boo pole.. but I needed something to practice actual pole-tricks on. Unfortunately... the Electra pole did not fit my bedroom. It states not to be used on ceiling higher than 8'6. My ceiling is 8'6 exactly. And even with 2 large phone books (an additional 8 inches) put underneath.. it still was not safe enough to do pole tricks on (fully extended even!). This is definitely a product for MUCH lower ceilings than 8'6". But other than that.. set-up was easy. If they came out with something similar... for this kind of bargain.. for HIGHER ceilings.. I would definitely purchase it!
