No, I would not recommend this to a friend
make sure to read the instructions carefully or you'll be in trouble. i forgot to replace the inside ring and my first one rusted. plus, i couldnt figure out how to get it to turn on and off. it kept going on and off during which was not good at all. i got the hang of it on the second try. too much trouble though.
